Fujita’s Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku is getting itself a live-action film adaptation. And now, the staff have dropped a new trailer, and it teases participation from a lot of cosplayers! In fact, from the looks of things, the cosplayers will be participating in a musical number for the film.

The live-action Death Note series’ Kento Yamazaki will be playing the gamer Hirotaka. Meanwhile, playing his fujoshi childhood friend Narumi is Napping Princess’s Mitsuki Takahata. The main cast will also feature Nanao as the fujoshi cosplayer, Hanako Koyonagi, as well as Takumi Saitou as the anime otaku and Hanako’s boyfriend, Tarou Kabakura.

Live-action Gintama’s Yuuichi Fukuda will be directing the film. It will open in Japan on 7 February 2020. The film will follow the lives of four otaku. Hirotaka, a gamer, is reunited with his childhood friend, Narumi, who is a gamer, when the office he works for hires her. Meanwhile, their officemates, Hanako and Kabakura, are secretly dating one another.
