Paru Itagaki’s Beastars manga has been wowing fans and critics alike. And now that the manga has an anime adaptation, it has reached a more diverse audience. And now, that reach will become a lot bigger, as Netflix is releasing the critically-acclaimed anime for their streaming service globally.

According to @NXOnNetflix, the anime will debut in the streaming service outside of Japan in early 2020. Netflix will then reveal more details soon.

Meanwhile, Toho Animation has released the anime’s OP sequence via YouTube. It uses stop motion animation in its opening.

One night at Cherryton Academy, an herbivore student is brutally murdered. Among the members of the Drama Club, the herbivores’ suspicions naturally turn to their carnivore classmates… The prime suspect? Wolf Legoshi. But he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Or would he? Will dwarf rabbit Haru bring out the beast in him? Or are his feelings for her…something else?
