After months of redesigning and doing a complete overhaul of the CGI scenes involving its main character, Paramount finally revealed Sonic the Hedgehog’s redesign. They even released a brand new trailer featuring the all-new Sonic, as well as a new visual:

And as it turns out, fans are mostly happy with the redesign. They praised Paramount for actually listening to the fans, as well as delaying the film to allow the Animators some breathing room.

In that tweet following the release of the previous design, Director James Fowler said that “The message is loud and clear,” he said. “You aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be.”

Many commented on how creepy Sonic looked with HUMAN TEETH. Many were also unimpressed at how Jim Carey looked as Dr, Robotnik/Eggman in the trailer. However, while many said they disliked how he looked, they still have hopes for his portrayal of the classic video game antagonist. Many even said that him being in the movie was the only good thing shown in the trailer. Now if they also listen to the internet about having Ugandan Knuckles in the film as well…
