Train mecha series Shinkalion is finally getting its own anime film titled Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion: Mirai kara Kita Shinsoku no ALFA-X. And now, the film is collaborating with an old friend as they release a new trailer.

Kotono Mitsuishi narrated the Evangelion-style trailer which also teases Asuka and Rei from Evangelion. This would be the second collaboration between the two mecha series, the first one has Shinkalion’s 33rd episode feature none other than Evangelion protagonist Shinji Ikari as the pilot of the Type-500 EVA Shinkansen.

The staff have also confirmed that both Shinji and 500 TYPE EVA will make an appearance in the film’s story. Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion: Mirai kara Kita Shinsoku no ALFA-X will premiere in Japan on 27 December 2019.
