Are you excited for C3AFA Singapore 2019?! Get ready as the region’s biggest and best Japanese pop culture event is scheduled for the 29th of November to the 1st of December at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre!

On its eleventh year, C3AFASG’s I LOVE ANISONG concert promises another amazing three nights of top anisong artistes. We’re very lucky to be able to speak with one of the — the cute and talented Azusa Tadokoro, before she performs on the third and final night of the concert.

Welcome back! What is the one thing you have missed about Singapore?

I really miss the fried mantou! I hope I can eat it this time too!

Congratulations on the release of your 10th single “RIVALS”. Can you share something interesting about making the single?

In the “RIVALS” MV, I was able to make a suggestion for the shoot for the very first time, and we filmed the band scene in the pool as I had proposed! I was so tired from fighting against the waves, but what an experience! It was a very memorable shoot!

The single is the opening theme of the anime “Kandagawa JET GIRLS”. Who is your favourite character from the show? And why?

Fuuka Tamaki is my favourite! Although she is usually a gentle and intelligent woman, it is very interesting to see when she changes into an aggressive person because of racing; the catchphrase she shouts out is a little strange, and I have to keep from laughing during recording sessions.

Recently, your schedule has been very busy. What do you do to relax?

I go for holistic treatments, eat my favourite food, and also sleep a lot!

C3AFA Singapore 2019 I LOVE ANISONG is here very soon. What can your fans look forward to?

Thankfully when I went to the event previously, there were a lot of anime songs that I hadn’t sung yet, so I’m looking forward to singing even more!
