The bright and bubbly Maaya Uchida is back on the I LOVE ANISONG stage for Friday, 29th November! We’re delighted to be able to talk to this highly popular singer and voice actor, in spite of her busy schedule!

Welcome back! What is the one thing you have missed about Singapore?

I really missed Singapore because it’s so beautiful! I hope I will be able to want to go around the city again this time!

Congratulations on the release of your 2nd mini album “you are here”. Can you share something interesting about making the album?

I am a huge fan of Keiichi Sokabe from the band Sunny Day Service, and for him to provide the music and even attend the recording sessions is like a dream come true for me.

You are currently on a live house tour. Can you share something interesting about the tour so far?

It was my first live house tour and the venues are quite different from my previous concerts, so I was very happy that I was able to perform while seeing the audience’s faces up close!

What is the most important thing you need to pack when going on tour?

Make-up tools! I basically do all my own makeup for my performances.

I want to have a passionate performance that will rival concerts in Japan, so let’s scream and shout and get excited together!
