In just two weeks, the biggest Japanese pop culture event in the region descends on the sunny shores of Singapore! C3AFA Singapore 2019 is slated from the 29th of November to the 1st of December at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The highlight is the annual I LOVE ANISONG concert, boasting a stellar line-up of top Japanese artistes. We managed to speak with one of the Saturday acts — the exciting duo MYTH & ROID, about their upcoming performance.

Is this your first time to C3 AFA Singapore? What do you most look forward to?

KIHOW: It’s our first time! I heard that it ’s a very big and exciting event, so I ’m looking forward to seeing everyone else who will be appearing on stage.

Congratulations on the release of your latest single “TIT FOR TAT”. Can you share something interesting about making the single?

Tom-H@ck: KIHOW-chan’s death voice was recorded for the first time in the vocal demo, but was rejected.

“TIT FOR TAT” is the theme song of the anime “Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious”. What do you think of fantasy shows like that?

KIHOW: The goddess Ristarte is an interesting and unique character.

You also sang the themes for popular isekai anime such as “Re:Zero” and “Overlord”. What are your thoughts on the popularity of the isekai genre?

Tom-H@ck: I think it’s a popular trend. I’m excited about the isekai genre.

C3AFASG 2019 I LOVE ANISONG is here very soon. What can your fans look forward to?

Tom-H@ck: The two of us are having a concert together in Singapore for the first time, so please look forward to that!

Please give a message to your fans in Singapore and South East Asia.

Both: We are looking forward to meeting everyone at C3AFA! Let’s all get excited at the concert!
