Revue Starlight fans rejoice, because the franchise has announced that it’s not just getting an anime film, but two! They made the announcement during the”Revue Starlight 3rd StarLive ‘Starry Diamond'” concert where they also revealed the announcement trailer, as well as a teaser visual:

One of the films will feature a brand new story. As for the other film, it will be a separate movie which compiles the events of the TV anime. They’re calling the new compilation film a “reproduction”, and the staff also announced its early summer 2020 release window. Unfortunately, they did not reveal any further details on the other film.

Revue Starlight is a multimedia franchise which doesn’t just involve the anime, but also manga, mobile games, stage plays, and of course, concerts. It takes inspiration from the opera, theater and live-action stage plays. Sentai Filmworks describes its story as:
