As we all know by now, Doraemon has a lot of anime films. In fact, the lovable blue cat from the future has 39 feature-length movies, as well as 14 short films/specials. And now, Doraemon will be gtting his own Film Festival, and it will show all those movies.

The festival celebrates Doraemon’s 50th anniversary, and it’s happening at the Jimbocho Theater from 1st February to 5th March. They also revealed that the films that were released before 2010 will be screened in 35mm film format.

Of course, the festival will end on the day before the premiere of the 40th Doraemon film, Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s New Dinosaur. It premieres on 6th March, and will begin with Novita meeting two new dinosaurs. This will be quite fitting, as the first-ever Doraemon film is titled Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Dinosaur, which debuted in 1980.
