The Gundam Base Tokyo in Tokyo Diver City mall in Odaiba is a Gundam mecca. Not only can you also visit the life-size Unicorn Gundam there, but also buy tons of Gundam merch! And now, the store will be holding its own “Factory Zone” tour. However, they will not be offering the tour for us adults, but only for elementary and middle school kids.

Gundam Base Tokyo’s Factory Zone is a mini replica of the Bandai Hobby Center in Shizuoka. Of course, that’s the same factory which creates GunPla!

The tour will take the kids through the GunPla-making process and teach them about the Bandai Hobby Center in general. Kids also get to build their own GunPla, as the tour will also provide a special 1/144 scale RX-78-2 Gundam kit for them. And to make sure they learned something, there will also be a quiz!

The guided tours will begin on 14th December, and each day will have two sessions, The first happens from 11:00am to 1:00pm, and the second one happens from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Participation for the tour costs 1,500 yen, and participants must sign up at the Painting Room at the Gundam Base. However, slots are only limited to six people per session.

The Gundam Base official website will reveal more information about the schedule and reservations soon.
