The Game Awards 2019 awarding ceremony has now happened, and they announced the winners. Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding had the most nominations this year, but will hat be enough to win the coveted Game of the Year?

Sekiro won the big one this year, beating out some very tough competition. They also won Best Action/Adventure Game, which in of itself is definitely no small feat.

However, the biggest winner of the awards was actually an Indy game. Disco Elysium won all four categories it was nominated in, including Narrative, Role-Playing Game, Independent Game, and Fresh Indie Game. And in winning some of those awards, Disco Elysium actually beat out some big names like Death Stranding.
