HypMic fans, rejoice, because the franchise is finally getting a TV anime! Its title is Hypnonsis Mic -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima, and it will premiere sometime in 2020. They also revealed the anime’s logo:

Unfortunately, not much is known about this new anime yet. However, the staff did promise that the anime’s official website, as well as its Twitter account, will be revealing more details sometime in March 2020. This means that we may expect the anime to come as early as April, or even later next year, in October.

The rap crews participating in the anime are still unknown. But the franchise includes:

  • Ikebukuro Division Busters Bros (Subaru Kimura, Haruki Ishiya, Kouhei Amasaki)
  • Yokohama Division Mad Trigger Crew (Shintarou Asanuma, Shin’ichirou Kamio, Wataru Komada)
  • Shinjuku Division Matenrou (Sho Hayami, Ryiiichi Kijima, Kent Itou)
  • Shibuya Division Fling Posse (Yusuke Shirai, Souma Saitou, Yukihiro Nozuyama)
  • Osaka Division Dotsuitare Hompo (Kengo Kawanishi, Ryouta Iwasaki, Takaya Kuroda)
  • Nagoya Division Bad Ass Temple (Yuuki Sakakihara, Shouta Hayama, Eiji Takeuchi)

Hypnosis Mic is a multimedia franchise which features seiyuu donning original personas to engage in a rap battle. The crews have already performed various rap battles, and a stage play is also underway.
