After months of waiting, Warner Bros. Japan has finally revealed new details for the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin finale films. This includes a new key visual which announces the release dates for both “The Final” and “The Beginning” films.

Rurouni Kenshin Saishuushou The Final will premiere on 3rd July next year. It will follow the Jinchuu arc where Kenshin faces off against the arms dealer, Enishi. Meanwhile, “The Beginning” will follow the story of how Kenshin got his cross-shaped scar. It will premiere on 7th August 2020.

Meanwhile, the staff revealed a cast photo featuring the main characters. It includes Takeru Satoh as Kenshin Himura, Emi Takei as Kaoru Kamiya, Munetaka Aoki as Sanosuke Sagara, Taketo Tanaka as Yahiko Myoujin, and Yuu Aoi as Megumi Takani.

Filming began last 4th November 2018, and they shot the film in 43 locations, including Kyoto, Nara, Shiga, Mie, Hyougo, Kumamoto, Hiroshima, Tochigi, Saitama, Shizuoka, Osaka, and Nagano Prefectures. The movies wrapped up their principal filming back in June.
