Japanese boy band Arashi will be reproducing their hit 1999 song, “Arashi”. It’s title is A-ra-shi: Reborn,” and they’re teaming up with Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga for an animated music video. The boy group will be releasing that video on 4th January, but before that happens, they released a teaser for that very MV:

The video features the members of the group in the art-style of One Piece. And not only that, but mangaka Eiichiro Oda also drew an artwork of the group as well. It will come bundled with the combined issue #6 and #7 of Weekly Shonen Jump on 4th January. “

As for the song itself, A-ra-shi: Reborn” launched on Japanese music streaming and download services last Friday.

Arashi member Jun Matsumoto commented that they timed the collaboration as both the band and the manga will be celebrating their respective 20th anniversaries. Meanwhile, Oda-sensei also commented that he has also attended an Arashi concert, as well as met with the members in person, He admitted that he felt overwhelmed when he saw them on stage, and said that they’re really nice people. He would then congratulate them for their milestone.
