In her author’s note for the 8th issue of this year’s Weekly Shounen Champion magazine, mangaka Paru Itagaki commented that “the End Is In Sight” for her critically-acclaimed Beastars manga. She promised fans that she will be working with everything she’s got uuntil the end, and she even invited fans to follow along.

Paru Itagaki, who is also the daughter of acclaimed BAKI mangaka, Keisuke Itagaki, launched the manga back in September 2016. It is currently running in Weekly Shonen Champion, and has won plenty of awards in its run. It recently completed its TV anime adaptation run, with a second season coming soon.

Previously, Netflix has confirmed that the anime will debut in the streaming service outside of Japan in early 2020. Expect the staff to reveal more details about the second season, as well as the Netflix streaming, very soon.

One night at Cherryton Academy, an herbivore student is brutally murdered. Among the members of the Drama Club, the herbivores’ suspicions naturally turn to their carnivore classmates… The prime suspect? Wolf Legoshi. But he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Or would he? Will dwarf rabbit Haru bring out the beast in him? Or are his feelings for her…something else?
