BONES is adapting the late Seiko Tanbe’s romantic short story collection, Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, into an anime film. And now, the staff have revealed a new key visual from original character designer Nao Emoto:
Emoto, who also worked on O Maidens in Your Savage Season, will also be adapting the film into a manga. Meanwhile, the staff also announced that the film will get its release in Japan in summer 2020.
The anime film will follow a disabled girl named Josee, who cannot walk and never ventures into the outside world, One day, she meets Tsuneo, a university student who finds himself attracted to her. Josee also becomes attracted to him as well, and decides to venture out into the world with him.
Kotaro Tamura (Noragami) is directing the film over at BONES.
