Ryuk is back, and he has dropped his Death Note to the mortal world once again! JUMP SQ.’s February 2020 issue, which hit the shelves last 4th January, confirmed the return. And yes, Co-mangaka Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata are both reuniting for the series.
This will be the first new chapter for Death Note since the manga ended in 2006. This means that this is the first new chapter in over 12 years.
The new chapter itself will be a one-shot worth 87 pages. It will follow a new bearer of Ryuk’s Death Note after he drops it to the world of us humans… again.
In addition, the manga will also be getting a full-color center page, as well as appear in the magazine’s cover. Jump SQ. will release the One-Shot within the pages of their March 2020 issue, due for release on 4 February 2020.
