As Gundam celebrates its 40th anniversary, they have been collaborating with other franchises and companies left and right. From Hello Kitty to Shonen Jump, the Gundam franchise is certainly celebrating with a bang! And now, they’ve announced their latest collaboration, and it’s with Japan’s pro football league, J-League!

The RX-78-2 Gundam in the visual is in J-League’s official colours. As for Haro… well, it became a football.

And as expected, they will be releasing plastic models of the J-League versions of the RX-78-2 and Haro as well. They go on sale starting 8th February. However, they will be exclusive releases. Fans can only get their hands on them via the  Saitama Stadium 2002, the J-League online store, and various J-League club stores.

In addition, they will also release around 20 plastic models, each featuring GunPla sporting one particular team’s colours. They will be released around the same time as the RX-78-2 and Haro.
