Yoshinobu Akita’s Sorcerous Stabber Orphen light novels got a new TV anime adaptation for its 25th anniversary. And now, the adaptation’s official website has listed that the series will have a total of 13 TV anime episodes… plus one unaired episode.

The website revealed that this new series is getting two Blu-Ray/DVD box releases. The first box will feature the first seven episodes, while the second box set will have the next six episodes plus the special unaired episode. The first box set hits stores on 2nd April, while the second one gets its release on 8th May.

Akita-sensei debuted the light novels back in 1994. And as it celebrates its milestone anniversary, they released this new anime. Takayuki Hamana is directing the series, with Studio DEEN handling the animation production.

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen previously received two TV anime adaptations. The first TV anime ran from October 1998-March 1999, while the second series ran from October 1999 until March 2000. J.C. Staff animated both series.
