P.A. Works has announced that they’re now working on a new original TV anime titled Appare-Ranman!. And now, the staff have revealed that the anime will premiere sometime in April 2020.

They also revealed the new series’ main cast members, and they include:

  • Natsuki Hanae as Appare Sorano
  • Seiichiro Yamasahita as Kosame Isshiki
  • Aoi Yuuki as Hototo
  • Sora Amamiya as Jin Schalen
  • Souma Saito as Al Reon
  • Fumiko Orikasa as Sophia Taylor

The anime is set just before the start of the 20th century, when Japan sent an engineer and a samurai to the United States. They are an engineer named Appare Sorano, and a samurai named Kosame Isshiki. They travel across America, and even participate in the “Trans-American Footrace” as a bid to go home to Japan.

Masakazu Hashimoto, who also directed several Crayon Shin-chan films, is directing the series at P.A. Works. He will also serve as the original story’s writer, as well as also work on series composition.
