Ryuk is back in the world of mortals, and he has dropped his Death Note… again. This would be the premise of the new Death Note one-shot manga from creators Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. It will be part of Jump SQ. magazine in Japan. However, Shonen Jump’s English Twitter Page has announced that they’re releasing all 87 pages of the one-shot online. The best part? It’s Free!

Viz’s official Shonen Jump English page will be releasing the manga online on 4th February (listed as 3rd February out west). As for its Japanese release, Jump SQ. will release the One-Shot within the pages of their March 2020 issue, due for release also on 4 February 2020.

This will be the first new chapter for Death Note since the manga ended in 2006. This means that this is the first new chapter in over 12 years. The new chapter itself will be a one-shot worth 87 pages. It will follow a new bearer of Ryuk’s Death Note after he once again drops it to the world of us humans.
