Beloved children’s anime and manga franchise, Anpanman, is back! This time, the sweet superhero will be starring in his 32nd anime film, titled Soreike! Anpanman: Fuwa Fuwa Fuwarii to Kumo no Kuni (“Go for it! Anpanman: Fluffy Fluffy Fuwarii and the Country of Clouds”).

The staff have announced that this new film will premiere in 26th June 2020.

The anime film itself will follow a new story about a baby cloud named Fuwarii, who lives in the Country of Clouds, which delivers the rain to make vegetables grow. One day, the coud meets Baikingman, who is plotting to destroy the country by creating an enormous black cloud. And now, it’s up to Anpanman and Fuwarii to stop him.

Anpanman is a beloved character in Japan, and has inspired countless people in Japan to get into animation or manga. It has remained one of the longest running series in history, rivaling Doraemon, Sazae-san (which is celebrating its 50th anniversary), and many others. It’s so old that it’s even older than many of the people reading this article, and has more episodes than ONE PIECE.
