Natsuki Kizu’s Given Boys’ Love manga is getting an anime film adaptation. It is part of Fuji TV’s new BL label, Blue Lynx. And now, their official YouTube channel has dropped a new trailer for the upcoming BL anime film:

Blue Lynx also produced the Given TV anime. However, while the TV series focused on high school students Ritsuka and Mafuyu, the film will focus on its adult band members, Haruki, Akihiko, and Ugetsu. Much of the TV anime’s cast will also be reprising their roles for the film as well.

  • Shougo Yano as Mafuyu Sato
  • Yuuma Uchida as Ritsuka Uenoyama
  • Masatomo Nakazawa as Haruki Nakayama
  • Shintarou Asanuma as Ugetsu Murata
  • Takuya Eguchi as Akihiko Kaji

The film itself will premiere in Japanese theatres on 16th May. Here is how Crunchyroll describes the anime’s story:

Somehow, the guitar that he used to love to play and the basketball games that he found so fun just lost their appeal…

That was until Ritsuka Uenoyama randomly met Mafuyu Sato. Ritsuka had started losing his passion for music in his everyday life, but then he hears Mafuyu sing for the first time. The song resonates with his heart and the distance between them starts to change.
