In view of the evolving COVID-19 situation and with the additional precautionary measures stipulated by the Ministry of Health (MOH) on 13 and 15 March 2020, ‘Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden’ has been cancelled.

Thank you for showing your support for the event and the organisers seek your kind understanding and patience as further preparations are being made regarding this matter. For fans who have made bookings for the Fortune Telling session, the ticketing agent will be getting in touch with you shortly for the refund process. ‘Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden’ apologises for any inconvenience caused.

In what has become an annual pilgrimage for fans of Japanese culture, Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden 2020 is back at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay on the 28th and 29th of March! Check out popular cosplayers, celebrity fortune-tellers, Japanese street eats, original art and official merchandise, and two nights of bass-thumping anisong concerts. Admission is free!

#1: Meet Popular Cosplayers and Take Part in Cosplay Competitions

Meet some of your favourite top cosplayers KANAME✩, Nessarose, Rithe, and Siutao as they take photos and answer questions from fans. If you like your cosplay a little more personal, you can pit your talents against fellow cosplayers in friendly competitions such as Cosplay Singles and Anime Pose-Off Challenge. Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden 2020 won’t be Anime Garden without the night-time anisong concerts! This year’s edition will feature extra bass with DJ SOBA, DJ ZU from i☆Ris, kz (livetune) of Hatsune Miku fame, and motsu (from Initial D’s M.O.V.E.) x DJ KAYA! Let’s not forget premiere anisong sibling group bless4, who will be returning to Singapore after two long years, to bring their style of party rock!

Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden 2020 will be held at The Meadow, which is only around 5 minutes by foot from the nearest MRT station, Bayfront Interchange. Take Exit B and follow the underground linkway. Exit and turn right, walk past Floral Fantasy to follow the Scented Walk, and cross the Meadow Bridge towards Planet A.K.A. the giant baby. The Meadow should be on your right.

Everyone’s safety is the organisers’ primary concern, so thermal scanners and hand sanitiser stations will be set up along the perimeter of the event. Remember to wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, and wear a mask if you are feeling even the slightest bit unwell. Stay safe and see you all at Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden 2020!
