The third Fate/Stay Night film, Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel III. spring song, was supposed to premiere on 28th March. However, it seems that it’s the latest victim Japan’s COVID-19 outbreak. This is because the anime’s official website has now announced that the film is now delayed. It will instead premiere in Japan on 25th April.

Prior to the delay, the film has been selling out tickets despite threats of infection from the COVID-19 virus. The announcement came after TOHO Cinemas announced that it will close all its theatres in Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Saitama. They also announced the cancellation of all screenings which start at 8:00pm or later every Monday, staring 30th March. Other theater chains have announced temporary closures thanks to the outbreak as well.

ufotable will once again be animating the film, much like the two previous ones. Its story will pick up where the second film, lost butterfly, left off. The trilogy adapts the original Fate/Stay Night visual novel’s Heaven’s Feel storyline, which is of course Sakura Matoh’s route.
