With the Coronavirus outbreak threatening public health, International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Dick Pound (yes, that’s really his name) announced that the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics are now postponed. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe would then confirm it.

However, the lead-up to the games still continue, as NHK’s Ani × Para: Anata no Hero wa Dare Desu ka anime project will still be airing on 31st March via NHK BS1. And now, they revealed that the Paralympics-inspired anime short will feature a new theme song from none other than LiSA!

The new anime will feature a short that will follow a blind marathon runner named Nozomi Kokubun, who lost her eyesight due to an accident. A new visual for the anime features Nozomi with her accompanying runner, Hikoichi Nakai. Nakai is a character from Masahito kagawa’s Mashiro Hi manga, and the series is collaborating with the anime short.

Ani × Para: Anata no Hero wa Dare Desu ka is part of Japan’s lead up to the Olympics, though it seems that they won’t stop promoting the games even with the coronavirus delay.
