Loved Land Before Time and other animated dinosaur movies? Well, there will soon be a feature length Japanese-Chinese-South Korean anime movie about dinosaurs very soon! It’s titled Sayonara Tyrano, and the staff have just unveiled a new trailer, as well as its key visual:

The trailer previews the film’s theme song “Rakuen o Futari de” (Together Into Paradise) by Hanaregumi and kotringo, as well as the soundtrack by Oscar-winning composer Ryuichi Sakamoto. It also announces its main cast, which composes of:

  • Shinichiro Miki as Tyrano the T-Rex
  • Kaori Ishihara as Punon the Pteranodon
  • Aoi Yuuki as Tops the baby Triceratops

In the film, Tyrano is a Tyrannosaurus Rex that is afraid of the dark. He meets Punon, a Pteranodon who somehow cannot fly, and Tops, a baby Triceratops separated from her parents. The film adapts Tatsuya Miyanishi’s Tyrannosaurus series of children books.

The film itself premieres sometime in early summer 2020.
