The COVID-19 has claimed three more anime or manga-based films, as their production staff have all declared delays. One of them is Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet, the 24th film in the franchise which was supposed to premiere on 17th April. The staff cited COVID-19-related concerns. Toho will announce a new release date for the film.

Meanwhile, the staff of the upcoming Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Gekitotsu! Rakuga Kingdom to Hobo Yonin no Yuusha film also declared tyhat they will also be delaying the film’s release. It was supposed to premiere on 24th April, but the virus outbreak has changed plans. Like Detective Conan, the staff will also announce a new release date in the near future.

The outbreak has also delayed live-action films as well. And yes, no matter how much alcohol they drink, it looks like the wacky “divers” of Grand Blue will also have their film delayed as well. The live-action film adapts Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka’s Grand Blue Dreaming comedy manga, which also received a popular TV anime.

Ryou Ryuusei of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger fame will play Iori Kitagara in the film. Meanwhile, Atsuhiro Inukai from Kamen Rider Build will be playing anime fanboy Kouhei Imamura. And yes, as the video reveals, they will pretty much be running around naked in the film, much like the anime and manga. The film was supposed to premiere on 29th May, and expect the staff to reveal more details on its new release date soon enough.
