The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games are now officially delayed due to Japan’s COVID-19 outbreak. However, it seems that official merchandise are still rolling out. One of them is the official 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics GunPla!  It uses the HGUC RX-78-2 Gundam as its base model.

These GunPla are officially licensed Olympics merch, bearing the Tokyo 2020 decals. And despite the big virus outbreak and games being delayed, they are still rolling these limited edition model kits out. They come in red and blue variants, and cost 1,200 yen. Both models also come with their own Tokyo 2020 pedestal as well.

These GunPla will hit the shelves in June 2020, and will be released in limited quantities.

The Tokyo Olympics were originally scheduled to be held from 25th July to 9th August, followed by the 2020 Summer Paralympics from 25th August to 6th September 2020. Unfortunately, the games themselves will be postponed for a year. But despite them happening in 2021, they will still keep the name Tokyo 2020 for the games.
