The story of Princess Principal was supposed to continue with the 6-part anime film series, Princess Principal: Crown Handler. Unfortunately, its production committee has announced that they will be delaying the film’s release. This is primarily due to the new government policies to stem the spread of the COVOD-19 Coronavirus, as well as for the health and safety of moviegoers.

The committee, together with akuhodo DY Music & Pictures will be announcing the film’s new schedule as soon as they have decided on it, They promise to do so via the anime’s official website and social media accounts. The film itself was supposed to premiere on 10th April.

The anime’s cast will include

  • Aoi Koga as Ange
  • Akira Sekine as Princess
  • You Taichi as Dorothy
  • Akari Kageyama as Beatrice
  • Nozomi Furuki as Chise

Aoi Koga replaced Ayaka Imamura for the role of Ange, with Imamura retiring in 2018 due to health concerns.

The anime is a direct sequel to the 2017 spy anime series. Here’s its synopsis via Sentai Film Works:

At the end of the 19th century, London, the Kingdom of Albion has been split into East and West sides by a giant wall. Five girls attend Queen’s Mayfaire, a conventional and prestigious school.
