Singer Asaka has announced on her official website that she is going on a month-long hiatus starting 21st April. The announcement stated that the artiste will undergo vocal cord polyp removal surgery, and she’s taking a break to recuperate.

Asaka can still talk and sing for the moment. However, her doctor has said that surgery would be best for her. For now, she’s planning to restart radio work by 25th May, before singing again by June.

Asaka is best known as the theme song performer behind theme songs for both Laid Back Camp and ROOM Camo. She also performed theme songs for Occultic;Nine, A Centaur’s Life, Island, and Yu-No.In fact, her debut single “Open Your Eyes” was the ED song for Occultic;Nine.
