Via Oricon: almost immediately after “Kimetsu no Yaiba” has wrapped up, manga publisher Shueisha has teased the climax of “Yakusoku no Neverland” (“The Promised Neverland”) in “Shounen Jump” #25 — out today, 25th May 2020. The popular dystopian manga series is set to end in Mid-June. Meanwhile, a second season of the anime adaptation will air in 2020, while it’s live-action theatrical version has a confirmed release date of December 2020 — barring any unforeseen delays.

“The Promised Neverland” follows the story of Emma, a little girl living in the Grace Field House orphanage, with Norman, Ray, and several other children. Their “Mama” Isabella takes good care of them but strictly forbids them from venturing outside the grounds. When the three children discover a fellow orphan butchered to death, they realize that the orphanage was actually a farm, and the orphans were livestock sold by Mama Isabella to be devoured by demons. Emma, Norman, and Ray plan an escape from the house, and are determined to leave no child behind.
