Via Comic Natalie: the socially-distance awarding ceremony of “Minna ga Erabu TSUTAYA Comic Grand Prize” (roughly, “Everybody’s Choice TSUTAYA Comic Grand Prize”) held yesterday — 17th June 2020, revealed that Tatsuya Endo’s “SPY X FAMILY” bagged the top prize for the 2020 edition. Second place went to Umi Sakurai’s “Oji-sama to Neko” (“The Old Man and the Cat”) while third place went to Dan Ichikawa’s “AtarashÄ« Joushi wa Do-Tennen” (“My New Boss is Goofy”).

Norio Sakurai’s “Boku No Kokoro No Yabai Yatsu” (“The Dangers In My Heart”), Kousuke Oono’s “Gokushufudou” (“The Way of the Househusband”), Shinichi Fukuda’s “Sono Kisekae Ningyou [Bisuku Doru] wa Koi o Suru” (“My Dress-Up Darling”), Tomoki Izumi’s “Mieruko-chan”, Yuuichi Katou’s “Yancha Gyaru no Anjou-san” (“Yancha Gal Anjou-san”), Keigo Maki’s “Kawaii Dake Janai Shikimori-san”, and Kotoyama’s “Yofushi no Uta” round out the Top Ten.

The “Minna ga Erabu TSUTAYA Comic Grand Prize” is awarded to ongoing manga with five volumes or less, chosen from their staff recommendations as well as reader votes cast via Twitter. The 2020 awards saw the reader participation rise tenfold when compared to the previous year.
