ACG Hong Kong — one of the biggest Japanese pop culture events in the territory, has announced via Facebook that the event has been officially postponed to the last quarter of the year, due to a rise in local COVID-19 cases. It was initially slated to take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre this 24th to 27th July 2020.

A partial and unofficial translation of the statement reads:

In response to the rise of new COIVD-19 cases in the past few days, the organizers decided to postpone ACGHK2020, originally scheduled for 24th to 27th July 2020. The organizer is discussing with the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, hoping to resume the exhibition as soon as circumstances permit.

The target exhibition period will be in October to December this year. Those who have already purchased tickets should apply for a refund. Details of the refund can be announced on the official website.

The organisers sincerely thank the general public for their support and the exhibitors for their understanding. We hope the epidemic will pass as soon as possible and everyone is in good health. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
