First announced in December 2019, the TV anime adaptation of the multimedia franchise Hypnosis Mic – Division Rap Battle” titled “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima” has unveiled a new promotional video, ahead of its 2nd October 2020 airdate. Originally slated to air in July but moved to October due to production delays caused by COVID-19.

The main cast will be reprising their roles in the anime, including Subaru Kimura (Ichiro Yamada), Haruki Ishiya (Jiro Yamada), Kouhei Amasaki (Saburo Yamada), MAD TRIGGER CREW’s Shintarou Asanuma (Samatoki Aohitsugi), Shinichirou Kamio (Rio Mason Busujima), Wataru Komada (Jyuto Iruma), Matenrou’s Show Hayami (Jakurai Jinguji), Ryuuichi Kijima (Hifumi Izanami), Kentou Itou (Doppo Kannonzaka), and Fling Posse’s Yuusuke Shirai (Ramuda Amemura), Soma Saito (Gentaro Yumeno), and Yukihiro Nozuyama (Dice Arisugawa)

“Hypnosis Mic” is a hit multi-media franchise also known as “HypMic” amongst fans. The story is set in a dystopian utopian future where women lead the government and men are merely grunts who follow orders. As guns and other weapons are no longer available, territorial fights must take the form of rap battles.
