The upcoming theatrical adaptation of award-winning dystopian manga series “The Promised Neverland“, written by Kaiu Shirai and illustrated by Posuka Demizu, has released a new promotional video in anticipation of its December 2020 playdate. “The Promised Neverland” film stars Minami Hamabe as Emma, Rihito Itagaki as Norman, Jiyo Kairi as Ray, Keiko Kitagawa as Isabella, and Naomi Watanabe as Krone.

The manga has officially ended 15th June 2020 with the release of Weekly Shounen Jump #28. The series ran for approximately four years, sold over 21 million copies, and reaped numerous awards including the 63rd Shogakukan Manga Award and “Kono Manga ha Sugoi! 2018” (“This Comic is Amazing!”) for the Shounen category.

It will also be getting a Hollywood drama adaptation by Fox21, to be streamed on Amazon Prime Video. The project will be helmed by “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” director Rodney Rothman and produced by actor Masi Oka of “Heroes” fame.
