Via Mantan Web: Reki Kawahara’s popular light novel “Sword Art Online” will be releasing a new movie in 2021. Titled “Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night“, it is part of the “Sword Art Online Progressive” reboot series that depicts protagonist Kirito becoming the black swordsman.

The show will be directed by Ayako Kawano, featuring character designs by Kento Toya, with music by Yuki Kajiura, and to be animated by A-1 Pictures. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Haruka Tomatsu will be reprising their roles as series leads Kirito and Asuna.
