With the success of the “Kimetsu no Yaiba The Movie: Mugen Train” special event with Steam Locomotive Gunma Yokokawa, Kyoto is getting not just one but three collaboration events with the hit movie! The events will be held from 26th December 2020 to 14th March 2021 at Toei Kyoto Studio Park, Kyoto Railway Museum, and Shijo Omiya and Arashiyama Stations on the Randen line, according to Comic Natalie.

At Toei Kyoto Studio Park, there is an interactive exhibit where you can experience the “Hinokami Kagura Hekira no Ten” as seen in the film “Kimetsu no Yaiba The Movie: Mugen Train”, explore the headquarters where the Pillars were gathered together, as well as take photos at Butterfly Mansion where Tanjiro and friends recovered from their injuries.

At the Kyoto Railway Museum, the SL steam locomotive manufactured in the Taisho era — the period when the series is set, has been decorated to resemble the eponymous Mugen Train. Inside the SL steam train, Tanjiro’s voice will guide you on a 1km round-trip.

At the Randen line, four cars will be decorated with “Kimetsu no Yaiba” visuals, and at Kimono Forest “Kimetsu no Yaiba” patterned poles will also appear. In addition, the rest area on the third floor of Arashiyama Station is decorated with plenty of wisteria flowers that are central to the series. Food, sweets, and drinks that are inspired by characters are also on sale.

Do check it out when you’re in town!
