Via Comic Natalie: Yoshio Sawai’s surreal comedy “Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo” is celebrating 20 years since the start of its serialisation with a “Coming-of-Age Ceremony” on 20th February 2020, broadcast on niconico. The show will feature the cast of the TV anime adaptation, headed by Takehito Koyasu, Masaya Onosaka, Ai Nonaka, Naomi Shindou, and Tomoko Kaneda.

“Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo” is set in a post-apocalyptic world ruled but the “Maruhage Empire” (or “Chrome Dome Empire”), were marauding bands of Hair Hunters shave heads left, right, and centre. Opposing them is the mysterious afro-ed warrior “Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo”, who fights for justice with his “Fist of the Nose Hair” — we wish we were making this up…
