Via Famitsu: “Tales of Arise” — the latest title in Bandai Namco’s hit “Tales” series, will be finally seeing a 10th September street date. The new release for the PS5, PS4, XBox Series X/S, Xbox One, and the PC (via Steam) is part of the series’ 25th Anniversary project, and centres on the theme “inheritance and evolution”.

“Tales of Arise” will feature in-game animated sequences by famed studio ufotable, which is responsible for such hits as “Fate/Zero”, “Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works”, and “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”. According to an interview with “Tales of Arise” producer Yusuke Tomizawa, the length of the animation scenes in the game may be the longest in the history of the “Tales” series.

“Tales of Arise” will also feature a more intuitive gameplay system rebuilt from scratch, with two new elements: “Boost Attack” and “Boost Strike”. “Boost Attack” can be activated during battle to instantly get support from a teammate whose skills suit best. On the other hand, “Boost Strike” can be activated when the conditions are met, to unleash a powerful coop finishing move depending on the combination of team members.
