The new feature-length original anime “Ai no Utagoe wo Kikasete” (“Sing a Bit of Harmony”) — which is slated for release in Japan in 2021, has announced its cast! “Ai no Utagoe wo Kikasete” will star Tao Tsuchiya, Haruka Fukuhara, Asuka Kudoh, Kazuyuki Okitsu, Mikako Komatsu, and Satoshi Hino.

The film will be written and directed by Yasuhiro Yoshiura who is best known for “Time of Eve” and “Patema Inverted”. Ichiro Okochi will be co-writing the script, while and Kanna Kii will be in charge of the character drafts. JC STAFF will be producing the film, with character design and animation direction by Shuichi Shimamura.

“Ai no Utagoe wo Kikasete” follows the story of Shion, who moves to Kagebe City High School. For some unknown reason, his dirst day in school causes the class pariah Satomi to break out in song — promising to make Shion happy with her voice. Shion soon becomes a popular student due to his intelligence and atheticism, while Satomi continues to sing for him regardless of his requests for her to stop.
