Via Variety: worldwide streaming platform Netflix is partnering with Tsuburaya Productions to develop an “Ultraman” 3DCG anime for the international audience.

The show will be directed by Shannon Tindle, who has worked on modern stop-motion animation classics “Coraline” and “Kubo and the Two Strings”; he will also be penning the screenplay with his fellow “Kubo” alumnus screenwriter Marc Haimes. John Aoshima of “DuckTales” and “Gravity Falls” will be co-directing.

Tsuburaya Productions is a Japanese special effects studio founded in 1963 and is best known for producing “Ultraman” and other related properties. Aside from collaborating with Netflix for the upcoming “Ultraman” series, Tsuburaya is also working with renowned animation studio Trigger with the anime “SSSS.GRIDMAN” (which aired in 2018) and “SSSS.DYNAZENON” (currently airing).
