The latest Gundam film to celebrate the franchise’s 40th anniversary — “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash,” will be also be released on the worldwide streaming platform Netflix, according to the official English language FB account of Bandai Hobby South Asia.

The film hits cinemas all over Japan today 11th June 2021 — after multiple delays; it was originally slated for release on 23rd July 2020, delayed by almost an entire year to May 2021, and postponed again due to the continued spread of COVID1-19 infections in Japan,

Part of a theatrical film adaptation project dubbed “UC NexT 0100”, “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash” was the first in a trilogy of movies. The films are based on the “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash” novel series by Yoshiyuki Tomino, which featured mobile suit designs by Moriki Yasuhiro and character designs by Haruhiko Mikimoto.
