“CHAINSAW MAN” Author Tatsuki Fujimoto has released a new one-shot “Lookback” on Shonen JUMP+; “Lookback” is a young adult story drawn in a lengthy 143 pages.

“Lookback” tells the story of Fujino — a 4th-grade girl who draws yonkoma manga in the school’s newspaper, and is praised by her classmates every time a new manga was published. Meanwhile, Fujino’s school life has begun to change little by little, as the manga drawn by her new classmate Kyomoto — who has never attended school before, was published in the grade newspaper.

Meanwhile, Fujimoto’s most famous title “CHAINSAW MAN” is a darkly heroic adventure action set in a world where demons exist. In order to repay his father’s huge debt, Denji works as a devil hunter belonging to a mercenary public security firm.

“CHAINSAW MAN” is serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, where it released its final episode in Weekly Shonen Jump 2021 No. 2 out 14th December 2020. “Chainsaw Man” also topped the 2021 “Kono Manga ga Sugoi” rankings in the Men’s category.

The TV anime adaptation of “CHAINSAW MAN” will feature Ryu Nakayama as director, with a script by Hiroshi Seko, music composition by Kensuke Ushio, and will be animated by the renowned studio MAPPA.
