Via Comic Natalie: the TV anime adaptation of Keisuke Makino’s novel “Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu” is scheduled to begin its broadcast run in October 2021. Megumi Hayashibara will play the role of the vampire girl Irina Ruminescu, and Koki Uchiyama will play the role of the young astronaut candidate Lev Reps — who trains Irina to become part of a manned space programme.

“Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu” will be directed by Akitoshi Yokoyama, with series composition by Keisuke Makino, character design by Hiromi Kato, and the art direction by Yuji Kaneko. Arvo Animation — known for “Monster Girl Doctor”, is in charge of production. The opening theme song will be ALI PROJECT’s “Hinotsuki”, and the ending theme song will be Chima’s “Afurata Itsuka”.

“Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu” follows the story of a vampire girl who was taken in for a manned mission during a heated space race between two fictitious superpowers, and the young man who washed out of the same cosmonaut programme who now has to train her for space flight.
