Via Comic Natalie: Miko Yasu’s “Hakozume” will be adapted into a TV anime by renowned animation studio MADHOUSE — out 2022! Starring Shion Wakayama and Yui Ishikawa in the lead roles, “Hakozume” will be directed by Yusuke Sato, with a screenplay by Ryunosuke Kingetsu, based on Kei Tsuchiya’s character designs.

“Hakozume” follows the story of two female police officers Mai Kawai and Seiko Fuji, assigned to the same neighbourhood police box or “koban”. With 17 volumes in print, “Hakozume” won the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award in the General Category in 2021, and was nominated for the 45th Kodansha Manga Award for the same category in the same year.
