Via Comic Natalie: the TV anime adaptation of the sequel to Tomihiko Morimi’s “The Tatami Galaxy”, titled “Yojohan Time Machine Blues“, has been announced! Ozu, Akashi, Higuchi, and the unnamed Protagonist must contend with a mysterious time machine that suddenly drops in their midst. Check out the promotional video below.

A cult favourite since it first aired in 2010, “The Tatami Galaxy” follows the story of the Protagonist, a student at Kyoto University, who joins a different university club (or “circle”) at the beginning of each episode — triggering a series of events that are eerily similar but ever so slightly different.

“Yojohan Time Machine Blues” will be animated by Science SARU and directed by Shingo Natsume — who worked with Science SARU founder, Director Masaaki Yuasa, of “The Tatami Galaxy”, “Devilman Crybaby” and “Japan Sinks” fame.
