The main visual and additional cast members for the musical adaptation of Bisco Hatori’s “Ouran High School Host Club” has been released. The musical will be performed in Tokyo and Osaka in January 2022. The musical will star Junya Komatsu, Masamichi Satonaka, Yuu Futaba, Kaname Futaba, Eito Konishi, and Shou Katou. Additional cast members Yuka Yamauchi, Shoichiro Oumi, Mizuki Saito, Kohei Norizuki, and Yusuke Kashiwagi have also been announced.

“Ouran High School Host Club” was serialized in LaLa Comics from 2003 to 2010, and was also made into a TV anime, a TV drama, and a live-action movie. “Ouran High School Host Club” centres on Haruhi Fujioka, a young girl attending the upscale Ouran Academy as a scholarship student. Haruhi stumbles upon the “Ouran High School Host Club” — which entertains female students with flattery and desserts, and accidentally destroys an antique vase valued at JPY 8 million.

Her short hair and gender-ambiguous face cause the club to mistake her for a boy, and designate her as the club’s new errand boy to work off the debt. However, her true gender is revealed, and the club members discover she also has a knack for entertaining girls — and Haruhi becomes one of the club’s most popular hosts.
