Via Comic Natalie: the TV anime adaptation of Miko Yasu’s “Hakozume” by renowned animation studio MADHOUSE will begin its broadcast run in January 2022! Starring Shion Wakayama and Yui Ishikawa in the lead roles, “Hakozume” will be directed by Yusuke Sato, with a screenplay by Ryunosuke Kingetsu, based on Kei Tsuchiya’s character designs.

“Hakozume” follows the story of two female police officers Mai Kawai and Seiko Fuji, assigned to the same neighbourhood police box or “koban”. With 17 volumes in print, “Hakozume” won the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award in the General Category in 2021, and was nominated for the 45th Kodansha Manga Award for the same category in the same year.
