Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyoujin) fans, this is one of those moments you have been waiting for, because when the morning news show, ZIP!, was shown on NTV earlier yesterday morning, it featured an exclusive sneak peek at the live-action movie adaptation of Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan.

The sneak peek also featured the movie’s trailer, as well as a look at some of the characters previously revealed to take part in the movie. The trailer showed what looks like the scene where the mother of Eren Yeager (played by Haruma Miura), was eaten by a titan. And speaking of titans, did you see that Colossal Titan?!

The Colossal Titan which will be featured in the movie is said to measure more than 100 meters, which will make it more than twice the size of its manga and anime versions. Now that is BIG!

The live-action version will be split into two different movies, both of which is scheduled to premier this coming Summer 2015. It will be directed by Shinji Higuchi, who has worked for the storyboards of the Rebuild of Evangelion movies. These two movies will feature some familiar characters like Eren Yeager (Haruma Miura), Mikasa Ackerman (Kiko Mizuhara), Armin Arlert (Kanata Hongo), Hanji Zoe (Satomi Ishihara), Sasha “Potato Girl” Braus (Nanami Sakuraba), and Jean Kirstein (Takahiro Miura).

They will be joined by some new characters like Lil played by Rina Takeda and Ayame Misaki as Hiana. However, the biggest mystery is the absence of one of Attack on Titan’s most important and most popular characters, Levi. However, that role seems to have been given to different character in Shikishima, who is played by Hiroki Hasegawa. Shikishima is regarded as “Humanity’s Strongest Man” as opposed to Levi’s “Humanity’s Strongest Soldier”.

Original creator, Hajime Isayama himself, is supervising the movie, however, from the already-released visuals, it is clear that these movies will be rather different than the original source material. Hanji’s rocket launcher for instance…
